St Ignace Truck Stop

EDIT: The restaurant has moved just next door to Fred ls up north dining and truck stop the food and service is amazing as alwaysGreat breakfast!!! And took one of the massive cinnamon rolls for a road snack /meal . Amazing service delicious food and generous portions makes this a great stop for a meal before heading out to explore the wonders of the upper peninsula.

We make it a habit to stop here whenever we're traveling through the U.P. They've recently upgraded to a larger building. The atmosphere and food are consistently top-notch!

The food was delicious! I had the fisherman's breakfast, which came with Whitefish, the fish was so fresh, fluffy and flavorful. Service was great, fast. Place was busy.

The steak and egg breakfast was awesome!Great atmosphere and the waitresses were very nice and funny. Will definitely be back!

Stopped at this place for a meal while on the road and decided to order the country-fried steak. The place had a classic truck stop feel—plenty of parking, friendly staff, and a mix of travelers and locals grabbing a bite.The country-fried steak itself was… decent. It had a good crispy coating, but the seasoning was a bit lacking, and the gravy could’ve used more flavor. The portion size was generous, which I appreciated, and the mashed potatoes on the side were solid. The service was quick and friendly, making up for some of the food’s shortcomings.Overall, it’s a reliable stop for a hearty meal, but if you’re looking for top-tier country-fried steak, you might want to keep searching. Still, it did the job for a quick and filling meal on the road.

Stopped here for a late lunch. The food was delicious, coffee hot and good tasting, service was excellent, and our waitress very friendly. The food was homemade. Real butter served and half n half on the table. The trucker's omelette was so large I have enough for tomorrow's breakfast! I even got a coffee to go. The restrooms were clean. We certainly will stop by again!

We really love this place always friendly personnel, always. We stop in quite often, we make a lot of runs between Johannesburg - to the UP, sometimes 3,4 times a week. When we stay over night it’s always here, or we’ll even drop in quick for a carry out to take with us on way back across bridge:) It’s a clean & quaint place!- I just want to add a small note quick, lately when I order cakes or a full breakfast, the pancakes & hash browns have been pretty over done. Been forgetting some things too. This last meal it was the salad. I’m not going to list it all bc it’s only been recently, like the last month or so. I’ll usually just run back in for whatever is missed, sometimes I take back in my pancakes sometimes I don’t. I got an omelette the last 2 times & honestly was just too tired to run back & forth. But they do always make up for it. No matter what you’re not losing our businessMy husband typically always gets the fish or steak & all but once loves them both! Steaks are always cooked to order also! Thank you all for your dependability & friendliness!

We had dinner here on July 20th on our way to pictured rock. Place is busy and food is perfectly cooked, well seasoned and smoked. We had fish and chips. We are well satisfied because we know what the best fish and chips are and this is one of the places you can get real fish and chip taste. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner.Here, Pasties available too, the signature dish in Michigan. A big portion size.
